HELENE UPDATE - 10/23/2024
Hello Restore7 Family,
Thank you for your incredible donations to the people impacted by Helene. We have been diligently stewarding the tidal wave of support that has come in. We also want to thank Steve Shultz and the Elijah Streams family for getting the message out and the generous donations they gave to Helene. We’d like to update you on a few of the major projects that we have done so far.
Rapha House
We have had the honor of partnering with Greg Lewis at Rapha House in Asheville NC. Greg has been part of the community on the Western side of Asheville for over 30 years. We have delivered over 100k in goods, generators, and even a truck down to his church. He has been making deliveries (at 60 years old) daily in the community. Helping get internet through starlinks and power through generators. Greg also had an incredible prophecy he shared about how God told him Rapha House would be a source of strength and the hands and feet of Jesus. Through your financial donations, we have been able to enable him to help local pastors get on their feet and daily deliver powerful aid into the community. The church is shining through his work and the resources we were able to provide them.
Cowboy Church
We have been able to seed over $50,000 in aid to Cowboy Church in East Tennessee. This is an incredible salt of the earth community that has opened up a full resource center. They are sending trucks and aid out daily to people hardest hit living in the mountains. They are providing propane, food, tents and clothing to these communities. We were extremely impressed with how resourced they were and how operational effective they were. I witnessed trucks going in and out led through a man that resourced local churches. We have been on the phone with them late at night and early in the morning as they work tirelessly to get help out.
Crisis Response
We have supported Crisis Response International with 100k. They have mobile food lines, chainsaw crews, and more. This was started by a YWAM’er that trains boots on the ground response teams.
Volunteer Fire Department
We have helped local volunteer Fire Departments with side by side machines and we purchased 10k worth of propane in the local town where they can directly fill up tanks they are bringing to people living in the woods. This direct support is for a volunteer fire department. Guys that have full time jobs and families that are not this that are working at night, in the mornings and on weekends.
Search & REscue
We have also helped search and rescue teams with harnesses, ropes, starlinks, and other equipment that helps them locate bodies and provide rescue. In this video below we can see their search team working with dogs to recover bodies.
RV’s
Last but not least, we have had the incredible opportunity to help re-home people in temporary shelter. We are buying RV’s through auction and people are delivering them to people who have lost everything. We have included some of the heart wrenching videos below. It’s amazing to see these stories. You can see where homes used to be and were just swept away.
Hands & Feet of Jesus
We have had the opportunity to help widows, pastors, families and many other people. Too many to list.
This is all possible because of your generosity. We are committed to helping this through the winter. In many of these places, they are saying power won’t be back for 3-6 months and we are going to stand strong with our partners and keep them with aid through the winter.
Thank you all for your incredible generosity. Truly amazing.
